Winchester Bay, Oregon

Strengthening You

Our vision is to see clergy and missionary couples renewed, refreshed and restored in order to return to healthy productive ministry.

We are answering the call to help provide a source of respite for those who are in need of renewal in body, mind and spirit through Pastoral and Coaching care. Our desire is to provide a safe haven in which healing can take place by allowing clergy/missionary couples to safely unburden the hurts and pressures of life and ministry.

Since we are not providing psychological counseling to guests, our default method of helping you is “coaching.” Sometimes we depart from that for mentoring – sharing from our experiences of over 33 years of involvement in pastoral ministry and work with missions. If we believe that counseling would benefit you, we will recommend that to you.

Your Winchester Bay Oasis Program

At the Winchester Bay Oasis we have several ways we can serve you. We’ll ask you as you book with us how we can best meet your needs.
We are here to serve and strengthen you as pastors and missionaries. We want to provide you with a unique place for rest and recreation, as well as informal mentoring and coaching. Our hope is that by providing this place in the midst of God’s beauty and creation, you will draw closer to Him and gain a fresh call and vision for your ministry.

Halfway between Florence and Coos Bay - 7 miles from Reedsport.

If this is your first experience aboard a moored boat, prepare for a fun and restful experience. The Salmon Harbor Marina is a beautiful setting with 500 slips. Our dock (#4) moors only 8 large boats/yachts, so it is extremely quiet. We provide all the linens and bedding you will need. The boat has a berth for sleeping, a head (restroom) with a toilet and shower, a galley (kitchen) with a small refrigerator/freezer, stove, microwave, and coffee maker, as well as all the utensils you will need (cooking capabilities are limited). There is a salon with a couch and comfortable dinette area. The Salmon Harbor Marina also provides WiFi connection, should you bring your own computer.

The boat will be stocked with food items for snacks, a continental breakfast, as well as items to make your lunch, either to eat aboard the boat or take along on a picnic. There are numerous restaurants in the area that will treat you to some of the Oregon Coast’s famous seafood.
We would love to host you in our home for a dinner so that we can get better acquainted and encourage you in your ministry area.

We can provide you with 2 bicycles, crab pots and fishing equipment. The area is excellent for walking. This area is known for having the Oregon Coast’s tallest sand dunes and a popular attraction is riding ATV’s (You can rent ATV’s in the area).
There are many activities in this recreational area. Please go to and to check out what else there’s to do in the area. These web sites will give you great information on activities available, local attractions and restaurants.

Please use the Inquiry or Booking button below if you have any questions or to request time at our Oasis. We’ll respond with a “yes” or an alternate date. We book on a first come, first served basis. We will give you detailed directions once you have received confirmation of your booking.

A donation of $45/night will help us defray expenses. Should the cost be a hardship, let us know so we can make an alternative plan for you. We want you to come and enjoy the Oasis and not have the cost be a hindrance.
