Situated high upon the side of the Volcano Poas, the Costa Rica Oasis is located just above the town of Grecia. On a clear and sunny day we have a spectacular view of almost the entire Central Valley. We are blessed to see God’s creation in the gorgeous mountainside, colorful flowers, green trees, singing birds, fluttering butterflies and hovering hummingbirds.

From our home at an altitude of 5,000 feet, clouds appear “lower than usual” compared to how they look from the busy city. Everyday is a little different. Some days it's clear, others it drizzles and some days it’s a downpour. There are times when the bright Costa Rican sun mixes with the Grecia rain, and at the right angle, we see the splendor of beautiful and spectacular rainbows. For a moment, we pause and stand in awe. We are always reminded of God’s faithfulness to His promise for the rainbow always comes after the storm.

Our ministry at the Oasis is much like looking for rainbows. We rejoice with your life’s sunny days—when all of God’s purposes are clear in view. We also give space, care and shelter during the days of drizzle and life’s seasons of downpour. It is our prayer during your Oasis retreat for us to pause together, look at the right angle and see the splendor of your life’s rainbow.

Through your time at the Oasis may God give you refreshment and renewal to return to your ministry. Maybe then others will stand in awe of God’s faithfulness by your life's rainbow and be encouraged to be steadfast and glorify Him.
