Driving from San Jose Airport to Grecia Centro:

We are located in Grecia, on the side of the beautiful Poás Volcano, approximately 45 minutes from the San Jose International Airport. All distances are approximate and these directions are Tico style.

From the airport, take the main highway {1} toward Grecia appox 30 km. Do NOT turn toward Alajuela on the highway but take the route marked San Ramon.

In about 30 km you will see a sign that shows Grecia to the right. Turn right onto the main road {154} to Grecia centro. As you turn right you will see Greek column “ruins” on your left. If you miss your turn you will see these same Greek column “ruins” on your right. You will drive about 9 km on this main road {154} to Grecia centro.

As you approach Grecia centro, you will see the famous Red Metal Church (Cathedral de la Mercedes) on your left along with a nice park.

Arriving by bus to Grecia Centro:

There are many buses from all over Costa Rica that will take you to Grecia Centro. Taxis are readily available from Grecia Centro to our home and the fare is approximately ¢5,000 Colones = $10. We can also make arrangements to pick up those arriving by bus.
