Strengthening You

The reason I chose to locate The Oaks Oasis in Italy is because beauty infuses so much of Italian life; landscape, art, music, food. I want guests to be able to partake of richness and physical beauty not available in many of the places where they live and work. The Oaks Oasis offers not only accommodation, but also opportunities to meet with God through a variety of means:
• The prayer room offers resources to encounter God through scripture, our physical senses, art, movement, and stillness
•I am happy to facilitate half- or day-long retreats incorporating various spiritual formation practices and creative means of connecting with God
• I can provide debriefing and coaching (including the Cerny-Smith Assessment)
• I always provide compassionate listening and prayer
The Oaks Oasis is a place for people to rest and meet with God in whatever way most refreshes them.

“They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor.”Isaiah 61:3
The Host

I was first called to hospitality ministry for cross-cultural workers more than 30 years ago and have been hosting Christian workers ever since. The Oaks Oasis is the fulfillment of my vision to provide a safe haven for singles, couples, and families to rest, be refreshed and reconnect with God. I bring to this ministry training in spiritual formation practices, inner healing prayer, and coaching as well as the experience of 11 years working for a mission agency in the UK prior to joining Life Impact and 7 years of leading creative prayer retreats.

Guests Say

“Thank you for this wonderful retreat and home. This is a sacred space and my time here has also been filled with the Lord’s presence and peace” (Pastor, China)

“This week could not have been better! Thank you for warmly welcoming us to the Oaks Oasis, where we immediately felt comfortable and so, so spoiled, and where we found rest. It was so relaxing and enjoyable, in fact, that we forgot our normal harried lives and had time to soak in the history and beauty of Italy, a gift we will never forget.”
(Missionaries, Senegal)

“Our stay here has truly been an ‘oasis’ for our bodies, spirits and souls! Your beautifully decorated home was a place of true rest after years of being on the mission field. Your creative ways of leading us into spiritual formation has helped us reconnect with the Lord on a different level. Your gentle and helpful questions allowed us to effectively reflect and look forward into what God is calling us to. Your love and great ability for cooking has inspired us to take the Italian kitchen back to Africa!”
